After their first full day Dearne Valley the Year 6 have sent this report:
Fire starting
Today we learnt how to start a fire with a pair of magnesium fire starters. We also learnt about how we would live if we were in the wild.
Abseiling
In one of our other activities we took part in abseiling; everyone agreed that this in their opinion this was the most exciting part of the day. Even though some people were afraid of heights, everyone had a turn.
Raft building
In raft building, we took part in raft building. After we had made the raft we had to test it out. At the end of the sessions some of us decided to jump in the water.
