We will be celebrating World Book Day on Friday 6th March 2015. We have many exciting activities planned and each class in turn will visit the library in Hedon.
All pupils and staff are invited to dress up as a character from any book!
Throughout the day each class will be focusing on and taking part in activities based around an author:
- Foundation – Julia Donaldson
- Year 1 – Roald Dahl
- Year 2 – Oliver Jeffers
- Year 3 – Roger Harreaves
- Year 4/5 – Michael Morpurgo
- Year 6 – Michael Rosen
Competition Time! To celebrate the event we are holding a competition to see who can read in the most unusual place! Send in a photograph of yourself reading for a chance to win a fabulous prize before Thursday 26th February!
All photographs will be shared on our school website (unless you have withheld consent & no child will be named) and the winner will be announced on Friday 6th March. You can enter photographs in several ways:
- Email to hedon.deputy.head@eastriding.gov.uk
- Print the photograph and hand in to your child’s teacher
