Year 1 visited a Co-operative Farm to Fork arable farm. They had a fantastic time!
The children were split into 2 groups to complete different activities. The children made pizza using locally sourced produce and items grown on the farm. They were yummy! The children also got to explore the farm and the crops surrounding it. They learnt about wheat and crops and where different seeds and oils come from. They even got to see a plant that looked like a strawberry but tasted like a grapefruit! Lastly, the children planted their own pea seeds, which they took home and are now tracking the growth through homework!
